Topo U.S. 100K includes several enhancements over the previous version of
the US Topo. Topo U.S. 100k allows the user to install
the product in full to their PC from a single DVD. It allows for interactive
viewing of detailed topographic maps and land elevation contours with elevation
shading on the computer. In addition Topo US 100K allows the user to
view the elevation profile of routes on the PC/MAC as well as on compatible
GPS units.
Topo U.S.
100K is vector-based and contains descriptive details for features typically
found on topographic maps.
BaseCamp, included only on the DVD version, allows you to view and manage
waypoints, routes and tracks on your computer and GPS. This new application
includes 2-D and 3-D map views, rotated map orientation, elevation profiles
and animated playback of routes and tracks. It allows you to organize trip
data into folders and transfer trip data to and from compatible devices. The
software also supports geotagging photos, enhanced printing, higher resolution
images and more.
