Manitoba SkyView puts high resolution (1 m or 0.5 m pixel) colour images onto your compatible Garmin handheld GPS and is available in a version made for use on a computer. This georeferenced imagery* is from 2007 to 2010 and is currently available for almost all of the agricultural areas of Western Manitoba. The GPS version of SkyView imagery can be displayed on the GPS screen and from within Garmin's free BaseCamp program. You can display your waypoints and tracklogs overtop of the aerial images.
The SkyView GPS version covers 10 km by 10 km (at 1m pixel res'n) or 5 km by 5 km (at 0.5 m res'n). The computer version covers 20km by 20 km. When ordering, specify the center location or section/township/range in the 'comments' section of the order form. |

Features:
- Properly georeferenced (significantly more accurate than typical Google Earth imagery)
- 1 m or 0.5 m pixel resolution. To see the meter per pixel capability of your GPS click here
- Available for most of southern Manitoba
- Contrast and brightness enhanced for optimal outdoor viewing on GPS screen
- Can be loaded into internal memory or onto a data card (GPS version)
- If more than 100 square km are needed, additional data cards can be purchased and swapped as needed (GPS version)
- GPS version works on most newer Garmin handhelds (78 series, 62 series, Oregon series, Colorado series, Montana Series, Dakota 20, RINO 610/650)
- Computer version comes with various file formats: .jpg / .tiff / .kmz / .tab (click here to view a full resolution sample)
- Upon request we can provide smaller subsets in a format that is compatible with Apex - Farm Mgmt Software
- Aerial maps can be displayed in programs such as Garmin's BaseCamp and Google Earth
